WE MUST STAND OUT IN THIS DISPENSATION By Adedire Adekanbi

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears.

Believe you me, we are now in the time, men wants to hear messages that please their souls, messages that will do nothing but massage their ideologies about holiness and righteousness.

They want to hear that it’s the heart that matters, the way they dress does not matter. I want to quickly remind us that our appearance reflects the state of our heart.

We want to hear that we can continue to indulge in fleshly pleasures and yet enjoy God's grace. The bible says, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid! Roman 6:1.

We therefore crave to hear from fallen Pastors who will give us fables, turn the bible upside down and tell us it doesn’t matter.

The devil has simplified certain sins before us so that we no longer think they are wrong. Why? The pleasure attached to them which are orchestrated to empty and finally bring us to bare ground.

The bible says, “and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." Someone comes to church with a tightly fitted skirt, showing all her curves and still comes to ask you if the skirt is tight, what exactly is she expecting your response to be?

That means she knows the truth but wants someone who will support her cravings.

Brethren in Christ, all eyes are on us to show the way. Jesus is the only way, let us be a channel through which Jesus will be seen.

We need to show and shine the light as Christians in all ways, our lives must reflect what the Word says concerning holiness. In this dispensation where every thing seems muddled up, we must stand out.

The word gives us a charge in 1 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince , rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering  and teaching”.

Many wants to hear the truth, be sensitive to the needs of people around you. Shift your attention from your self alone, help that brother and sister around you. Rebuke, exhort, convince and correct in love.

But be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Shine!
