Becoming a Woman of Godly Character  Character is powerful! Your character defines you and speaks volumes about you, even in your absence. It is one of the most important things that we have, we must invest positively in it. Romans 5:3-5 – “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces ENDURANCE, and endurance produces CHARACTER, and character produces HOPE, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the HOLY SPIRIT who has been given to us." Jesus already told us that we will face trials and temptations. Our sufferings will produce endurance. I want to ask you, what are you going through presently? what are the challenges posing threat to your faith? What are the situations provoking you to compromise? SILENCE, A POWERFUL TOOL It is not always compulsory you talk or contribute to a discussion when you are in the midst of elders, even when you are vast in knowledge in the area of the discussion. Always be sensitive to know when you are to keep quiet and listen, nodding in aknowledgement. It is not all the time that you must air your view concerning a matter. Sometimes, the opening of your mouth will portray foolishness rather than the wisdom you meant to pass accross. Those that have gone ahead of us may be stagnant in learning, but that does not outrightly rule out the traces of wisdom to walk a path. Anyone that has not shown you the right path to follow has at least shown you the path not to follow. Anyways, learning took place. Manytimes, you are listening to a wrong advice just nodding, just at that point, the Holyspirit is opening your eyes to see deeper than the advicer. You just thank him/her, going away with a deeper insight. Learn the wisdom

STRANGE APPETITE May we not be hungry for what will rid us of God's glory. The exchange Esau made with Jacob was no way physical, it was a spiritual transaction. When they made that deal,  there was an exchange in the spirit realm. Thereafter, every situation and circumstance began to favour it's manifestation physically. In this same way, many have changed their destinies for a 15 minute sexual pleasure. Many have sold the future of their children to gain high ranking positions. Well, the children that came from the loins of Esau didn't choose their father o, they were only welcomed into their father's recompence of carelessness. Esau only felt like, what is birth right, please give me food 'jare'. The way some ladies feel like, what is virginity? Give me high mark in this course abegi. Lord, take away hunger for frivolities. May we not sacrifice a glorious destiny for mundane things. Invade us with hunger for you and fulfill

DON'T WAIT TO BE HONOURED BEFORE YOU GIVE HONOUR ============================== Honour and respect whoever God has placed over you as a leader as unto the Lord and not men, especially at your work place, the age, character and attitude of your boss notwithstanding. It has a ripple effect. There is a saying that says "respect is reciprocal" but I have not found a place in the bible where this is established. Tit for tat is a game for unbelievers. It is nothing near the love of Christ. Never talk down your boss, always refrain from the circle of colleague who does that. A day is coming when someone who is observant or even your boss will notice that you are not like everyone else. Maintain the lane of honour, even when it seems difficult. There is a system of reward that activates sacrifice and pays back honour. Never be tired of honouring men. Some people wait to know how old the other person is before deciding whether to honour or not. It

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASIDE, GODLY CHARACTER IS THE TRUE TEST OF MATURITY ========================== "A tongue speaking believer who is not disciplined in character with opposite sex, money, words, time, and so on is like a car without a brake leading towards a ditch"- P. Daniel. An undisciplined man is like a city without wall. It's not enough to abound in spiritual gifts, but also to be guided by the word. The extent to which you able to reflect Christ in your character is the true test of your maturity. In fact is better to go for a man or woman who has this hard core on the inside, stands for the truth embedded in the word, than a gifted babe, who abounds in gifts but zero character. Either you like it or not, you are one of the influential books your children will read on the subject of character. Hmmm!
