THE EXTRA OIL MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

I was on the bike, on the way to an interview when this song entered my spirit:
Here comes the bride! Here comes the bride! Here comes the bride! Here comes the bride!

I sang it till I got to the venue. Greater than the earthly marriage is the marriage super of the lamb which is the greatest and sweetest marriage any one can experience.

I was able to glean wisdom from the words of a friend of mine which goes thus:
The wise virgins and the foolish ones had so many things in common but just one difference. They were all females, they were all virgins, they had lamps and they had oil in their lamps. But one thing made the difference, “EXTRA OIL”, the extra oil distinguished the wise from the foolish.

Always, the extra oil does it, the extra mile, the extra effort, the extra zeal, the extra passion. The extra makes the difference.

I don’t know that thing you are going through that is challenging your Christian Faith, maybe persecution from your very family or friends, maybe you are even at the verge of giving up the fight. I have come to tell you that the extra fight does it. Hold on to Jesus for the extra faith.

Don’t be discouraged by the happenings around you, keep pressing! You can’t park in the same parking lot of your parent and expect a different result. You need to put extra effort to do it differently and stand out.

Don’t ever think that your visions and aspirations will manifest by magic, but extra sweat, extra determination, extra hard work will single you out.

Do not rest on your oasis, press on, don’t disregard the extra oil, don’t give up too soon. That EXTRA may be the only qualifying factor. It might be too late after the groom's arrival, you have the opportunity to take it along now.
