ONLY FOOLS COMPARE THEMSELVES TO OTHERS

ONLY FOOLS COMPARE THEMSELVES TO OTHERS

Have you ever taken time to meditate on how beautiful, unique, endowed, loaded, different and special you are? Can you just divert the energy you expend comparing yourself to others to this kind of meditation? Can you please value your uniqueness?

But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a King over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a King to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.” 1 Samuel 8: 19-20.

Until we discover our uniqueness, we will continue to strive to be like someone else. Until the gold in your hand is revealed to you, you will continue to envy the silver and bronze in another man's hand.

Until we discover our originality, fake people will not cease to appeal to us and buy our mind over.

How strange that a nation serving the Almighty God envied other nations bowing to inferior gods, who have inactive eyes, ears and legs, crippled gods.

The bible records in Exodus 15:3 that “The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name”. But the nation of Isreal desire a man to go out before them and fight their battles.

May we never lose what we have before we discover the unique purpose it has come to serve in our lives.

This problem starts when we start comparing ourselves to others, trying to do what others are doing or wanting to do it the way someone else is doing it. Thinking you are inferior because you don’t have the skill someone else has.

Get this right, you envy that fellow because he has discovered the areas of his strong core competencies and developed it.

Your are unique, peculiar, loaded, graced, beautiful, special, important, extraordinary, outstanding and wonderful.

You have your own unique selling point that must be discovered and released.

Comparing yourself to others will do no more than frustrate, kill, and bury your potentials. You end up becoming someone else’s shadow.

“For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” 2 Corinthians 10:12.

“But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.” Galatians 6:4.
