DEAR CHRISTIAN SISTER, BEHOLD A MORE EXCELLENT WAY BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

DEAR CHRISTIAN SISTER, BEHOLD A MORE EXCELLENT WAY
 BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

1Pet 3:3-4 makes me understand how that the beauty of a Sister should not come from the face, nor the hair, the shape, or the appearance. Underline ‘should not'. But that it should be that of the inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Underline ‘unfading'.

Permit me to say assertively that if you do not possess the later, you are not beautiful, regardless of how sophisticated your look is.

I see God bringing women into a dimension of operation where our inner beauty is intrinsic, the hidden man of the heart, and your outward look becomes an offshoot of the graces and fragrance emanating from within.

That we will lay hold on the unfading beauty we have the capacity to carry if only we give attention to the growth of our spirit man.

That a man who really wants to comprehend your beauty will go an extra mile, looking beyond the externalities, he will have to search and dig deep to really know you.

But unfortunately, we have many shallow ladies, all you need to know is in the appearance. Thank God for the deep brothers. You see a shallow sister, look at the man in her life, he is shallow too. Deep calleth unto deep.

I have seen ladies who look welcoming in appearance but lack judgement. And seemingly facially attractive women, who are unproductive character-wise.

When you hear people appreciate a woman of honor, you hear them say, she is beautiful in and out, not the other way round. So, the IN comes before the OUT!.

Unfading means long lasting, ever fresh, ever green, ever pure, ever unique, ever shining, and ever original. Don’t you love this! That there is an ability to carry all these treasures on the inside of you, this is what I call loaded.

A dimension where the inner beauty takes the priority and the physical look, though not left unattended to, is secondary. Many are simply suffering from misplaced priority.

One thing I have seen is that the content of a sister has a way of radiating to the outward, that without necessarily looking sophisticated, you are just attractive. I call this Glory!

Am I saying you should look tattered and unkempt? No, but give priority to the beautification of your inner self which is of great worth in God's sight.

"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD will be praised" Prov 31:30.
