WHO IS YOUR SECURITY? BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

WHO IS YOUR SECURITY?
 BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

We have endangered our lives severally because the hope of our security is in vague and ephemeral things. We have built up businesses, relationships, empires, wealth that we pride in.

That is why a Christian would accept to Change figures in the company where he works in order not to loose his job. His job has now become his security, compromising God's standard in other to keep the job given to him by the same God.

You are in a relationship, and the man believes he must check you out and have a carnal knowledge of you before marriage. You decided to succumb after much pressure because the relationship has become your security. You are afraid of loosing him at the expense of honoring God.

You have already told that brother that you are not interested, but, just because you don’t have the money to make your hair, you decided to put a call through to say hi, peradventure anything can drop from him. Why? Cos you have made him your security.

You are in the examination hall and because you found some questions somehow difficult, you decided to compromise your stand and giraffe because it is your security, and you want to safe your face from shame; you steal, cheat, blackmail and even kill.

An hungry man is an angry man, they say, but where is that found in the scriptures. That is borne out of earthly wisdom and sensual knowledge. So, you resolve to anger just because you don’t have money on you, anger has become your alternative and your security.

Why do we behave like the Israelites who forgot all the miracles and  blessings of God each time there was any challenge, and they felt like going back to Egypt at any slightest provocation?

Our attention is shifted from the creator to the creation. We find security in the given things more than the giver. God is our present help in time of need and He has never failed and can never fail.

Make God your security and only alternative, let His Word give you strength and succor in any situation. The devil brings temptation but God allows it in other to prove us. God  has released to us all we need to stand firm, don't betray His confidence.

“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever” Psalm 125:1.
