STRIKE A BLOW TO YOUR BODY AND MAKE IT YOUR SLAVE

If we will ever so win the prize, demand is placed upon us to strike a blow to our body and make it our slave.

Have you ever experienced this, that shortly after preaching a message, the devil confronts you with a temptation that has to do with the message you just preached?

Writers in the house, have you ever written on a particular topic, and the devil brings a temptation that has to do with the write up you just shared? Have you been overcoming or falling helplessly?

No wonder Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9:27 that, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified”.

Preaching, singing, writing a particular message does not automatically make you immune to falling in that same area of life. In fact, once you preach a message, you become the number 1 target of the enemy in that area.

That is why we must be on guard and never take the risk of disobeying the Holy Spirit, not for a second. Don’t even try to see what the consequences looks like. It’s a journey leading to a dark place and the end thereof is likewise “dark”.
