ABEGI! STOP THIS DECEPTION, JUST TELL US YOUR REGRETS
 BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

So, the last time you told a friend that you are still a virgin, she said things like “and so?”, “ who you help”, “and what’s the big deal”, “ virgin Mary”, “old school”, “mummy's girl”.

Who you help ke? You are helping generations to stand strong because you are a light which cannot be kept under a bushel. You are a role model to your unborn children, they will hear how you were able to stand strong, despite the temptations and shine as light even in the midst of thick darkness.

You say what’s the big deal, it is a big deal that you are faithful to God and to your future husband though you have not met him.

Listen to me, your friend needs help o, she is hurting inside, she is wishing she could turn back the hands of time, she is dying inside, she is in pain and lonely, she is only using boldface as a defense mechanism, she is desperately in need of an accomplice.

When someone commit a sin and succeeds in luring others into the same act, he/she feels the need not to be sorry. She is like, am not the only one in it.

People wants to identify with someone in their sin in order to make the consequence less hurting and make the act seem less sinful.

The best is to disengage from people like these, such shouldn’t be your best friend, you do not share the same values and beliefs. You can imagine how great the risk a man in white garment takes when he plays with a palm oil seller.

Don’t take the risk, don’t be unequally yoked with them, but pray for them always and bring gospel to them at every given opportunity.

"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do unrighteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" 2Cor 6:14.
