THOSE YOU SERVE WILL SERVE YOU IN RETURN

God is the custodian of genuine greatness, for no man receiveth anything except it is given from above. The Bible says something about greatness: “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant” Mathew 20:26.

Teach us Lord to serve in whatever capacity you desire. Wherever you place us oh Lord, may we see it as an opportunity to serve and not to lord it over others.

We must be a minister to others if we are desirous of being truly great in the esteem of God, and of men, we must do great service for Christ.

The road to greatness is service, whatever anointing, grace, gifting, talents, skills, strength we possess, we must  employ in serving others and bringing solutions to the questions of their heart.

But many a times, we throw away this pattern that the word presents, but doing that doesn't reduce its potency. It only validates it and reveals to us that truely, not many can work on the narrow road that leads to life.

Jesus watched the feet of His disciples, even though He was the greatest among them and commands anyone who wants to be great to do the same. 

We are called to serve, those we serve will in turn serve us. Never have the mentality that people are meant to serve you first. Authority responds to humility.

Staying at the top is more demanding than getting there, that is why it is easier to fall from grace than rise to grace. Those foxes we call little must be taken away. Our greatness must not be short lived!

There are some important ingredients of greatness we overlook and jettison and we run after power, but when these things are in place, we will spread the light of God better and faster. It is not how far, but how well.

Show us the way of true greatness oh Lord, help us not miss the part that leads to greatness. Set our heart on your word that we may find our true essence and be a blessing to our generation.

"So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do" luke17:10.
