WHY IS IT HARD TO LIVE HOLY? BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

WHY IS IT HARD TO LIVE HOLY? BY ADEDIRE ADEKANBI

So, Funke, one of the girls God has worked upon and stirred up for greater works, went to her class and preached to the boys and over 9 of them surrendered their lives to Christ. She came to me yesterday and said some of them wants to join our prayer meetings, and that one of them have questions that she has not been able to answer.

She brought him later in the night and he asked this question: why is it hard to live holy? He told me he gave his life to Christ yesterday when Funke preached to them in class.

Obviously, that was not the first time he answered an altar call. But this time around, seems this boy wants to remain. Just at that time I remembered one of the articles David Oghenerobor shared online. I told him that the devil has made two vows: 1. That you will never give your life to Christ, 2. And that even if you give your life to Christ, you will never grow... After laying that foundation, every words needed came forth and glory to God for the outcome.

Salvation does not end at the altar, in fact work has just began. Following Jesus daily is an aspect of our faith that the devil is scared of. So he will always ensure that it stops at confession alone and afterwards he will isolate you from kingdom men and from the gathering of believers.

Hell was created for the devil, but he is working day and night to ensure he draws many with him to hell. That is why we must continue to preach the gospel and ensure the converts remain. We must intercede for the souls of men.

I celebrate you Funke, I think you are around 13, but there is this hunger in you never to see unrighteousness reign. May God baptize you with more hunger. God bless your spirit.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" 1 Tim 4:12.
